Social Investment Program

SIPS IS A GRANT PARTNERSHIP FOR AND WITH LOCAL CHARITIES

Social Investment Partnership Sudbury (SIPS) is a grant partnership between Sudbury Community Foundation, City of Greater Sudbury, and a grant recipient. This grant program is funded by the Greater Sudbury Charities Fund. It is built by the City of Greater Sudbury from a portion of the proceeds it receives from Sudbury Slots each year. This provides one registered charity a year with up to $20,000 grant funding as well as in-kind support over a period of 2 years. This program is designed to take one promising local charity to the next level so it may continue develop its vital programming and services.

Past years' recipients include Sudbury Action Centre for Youth (SACY) and Noah Community Hub in 2015. The Foundation recently announced the 2016 SIPS recipient. The SIPS Grant went to Youth Entertaining Sudbury (YES) Theatre to enhance its artistic programming so it can continue to provide colourful annual productions and mentorship programs to youth in our community.

We are incredibly honoured and proud to be the recipient of the 2016 SIPS. This support will enable YES Theatre to continue to develop the voice of young Artists within our company and bring excellent theatre to the city of Sudbury. Having the support of the community is integral to the work we are creating and to the success of our Artists. We look forward to working with the team at the Sudbury Community Foundation to assist us in realizing YES Theatre's grand potential.
