Since 1996, the Sudbury Community Foundation has served as a vital link to the Sudbury community, enabling generous individuals to create lasting impacts that enhance the lives of Sudbury residents. With a blend of grantmaking proficiency, deep-rooted knowledge of community needs, adept financial management, and fund expertise, coupled with donor generosity, the Foundation ensures that each dollar that passes through its doors is reinvested back into our community.
In addition to our various initiatives like the Social Investment Partnership and the Emerging Leaders program, which aim to foster community leadership and advocacy, we also allocate annual grants to charitable organizations and non-profits situated in the Greater Sudbury region. Through these efforts, we strive to empower and uplift our community, creating a ripple effect of positive change that benefits all those who call Sudbury home.
Our mission is to create a lasting impact in our community by addressing pressing concerns in education, youth empowerment, healthcare, social welfare, environmental preservation, arts, elderly care, diversity promotion, and emergency relief. Through strategic funding and a hands-on approach, we are a catalyst for positive change in Greater Sudbury, ensuring a promising and inclusive future for all!
The Sudbury Community Foundation is an independent public foundation and registered charity & one of the 191+ community foundations under the umbrella group, Community Foundations of Canada.
Our staff and Board are knowledgable in planned giving options, professional fund administration and management, grant making and assessment. Our Board and Investment Committee are also community leaders with expertise in taxation, accounting, law, business, and philanthropy!
SCF gives an all-inclusive stewardship to our individual and corporate donors including simplified record-keeping, tax return preparation, fund administration, preparation of personalized and mutually agreed-upon fund agreements, and in-house generation of charitable tax receipts for our donors.
We keep informed of trends and issues in our community through leadership efforts and community engagement. In turn, this helps us with our granting, a und allows us to grant to the most pressing community needs!
